What is CHOICES?

CHOICES – Next Steps Into Adult Services is a free, open community event in Aberdeen City, created to help parents and carers find out what options are available after school.

We know that planning for the next stage can feel overwhelming. There are lots of different organisations, services and opportunities, but it isn't always easy to know what is available or where to start.

CHOICES brings a range of organisations together under one roof, giving parents and carers the chance to:

  • 💬 Meet organisations and speak to staff

  • 🔎 Find out what services are available

  • ❓ Ask questions and gather information

  • 🤝 Meet different providers and understand what they offer

  • 🌱 Explore social, day service, training and work-based opportunities

  • ❤️ Find options that may be a good fit for their young person

It is also a chance for organisations across Aberdeen City to network, connect and learn more about each other.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach. CHOICES is simply about opening the door, showing families what is out there and helping them make an informed choice about what comes next.

Free to attend • Open to parents & carers • Come along and explore your CHOICES

For organisations

We are inviting organisations across Aberdeen City that provide adult or post-school opportunities to attend and showcase what they do.

This is also an opportunity for organisations to network with each other, build partnerships, share ideas and learn more about what is available across the city.

We know that every person is different, and one service won't suit everyone. By bringing a wide range of organisations together, we hope to make finding the right next step a little easier.
