Our story

Reloved by Thrive Together is our community charity shop initiative, created to support adults with learning disabilities, autism, additional support needs, and social isolation to gain real-life work experience in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.

More than just a shop, Reloved is a training ground for independence, confidence, and employability. Every item donated, sorted, and sold helps create meaningful opportunities for individuals to learn new skills, build confidence, and take part in real community life.

Our Purpose

Reloved has been designed to provide hands-on, supported work experience where individuals can learn at their own pace. With guidance from trained staff, participants are supported to develop practical workplace skills that prepare them for volunteering, further training, or future employment.

We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to contribute, learn, and feel valued—and Reloved makes this possible in a real-world retail setting.

What We Do

At Reloved, individuals take part in a variety of supported retail and community activities, including:

• Sorting and processing donations

• Pricing and tagging stock

• Merchandising and creating shop displays

• Customer service and welcoming the public

• Operating the till (with support)

• Stock rotation and organisation

• Cleaning, organisation, and shop presentation

• Teamwork and communication skills

• Health and safety awareness in a workplace setting

Each task is adapted to the individual, ensuring everyone can participate in a way that suits their abilities and goals.

Building Skills for the Future

Reloved is not just about retail—it’s about building confidence, independence, and life skills. Through participation, individuals develop:
