Our Story

Our journey has been anything but ordinary. At every step, we have remained committed to our values, creating space for meaningful support and lasting impact within our community.

Kirsty Irvine - Founder

Thrive Together Aberdeen was founded in 2025 by Kirsty Irvine, following many years of experience working within the social care sector. Through this experience, Kirsty developed a strong passion for providing meaningful, person-centred support that truly focuses on the individual.

The service originally began as a day support service for adults with additional needs, with the aim of creating a welcoming space where individuals could build life skills, grow in confidence, and develop friendships within their community.

In December 2025, following a change of premises and an exciting period of growth, the organisation was renamed Thrive Together Aberdeen to better reflect the vision of building a stronger, more connected community service.

Shortly after, in January 2026, the organisation transitioned to a not-for-profit structure, reinforcing our commitment to reinvesting resources directly back into the service and the people we support.

Today, Thrive Together Aberdeen continues to grow, expanding into new groups, activities, and community opportunities, all within a friendly, inclusive environment where everyone is welcomed, supported, and valued.
